Till Death Do Us Part
Atop an invisible peak
I breathe… air too leaving me.
My callused soul felt meek,
none my witness! Not even me! In the heavens of my fabrication
there remains none the dweller;
solitude itself be my sole elation,
its warm embrace my propeller. Atop that invisible peak
my being itself may depart.
But you exist and caress my cheek…
Till Death Do Us Part! Suddenly a storm of silver
swept over that peak.
Within my eye I felt a glimmer,
seeing a familiar physique
atop that invisible peak. “DEATH!” I exclaimed; solace
coursed through my veins,
free from Solitude's embrace,
its burdening… damning chains. Death stood there, my liberator—
that eternal existence…
turned for me into an obliterator.
With but a mere thought,
snubbed Solitude's presence. The silvery storm cooled off,
left behind a brilliant blue sky,
green trees where birds take off,
four-legged friends who come by. Atop that invisible peak,
now a buoyant, bustling place,
things now don't look so bleak…
I live… basking in my own embrace.
I breathe… air too leaving me.
My callused soul felt meek,
none my witness! Not even me! In the heavens of my fabrication
there remains none the dweller;
